Cleaning the coffee grinder

I learned a pretty nifty trick a couple of months ago. I have problems getting a dishcloth into my coffee grinder. I was reading one someone's blog (sorry I don't remember which one) and she said to grind white rice. You can see how dirty the inside of the coffee grinder is.

Here's the white rice. You could probably use any rice, actually.

Grind it for the same amount of time you would coffee.

This is after emptying it out and wiping down the white plastic part with a paper towel. I didn't touch the blades or the stainless with the paper towel, only the white plastic. Crazy, huh?
